Don’t let pride or arrogance live in your heart!

Wednesday, November 11th, 2009

Hey Guys,
It’s me Sophia again. I just remembered one of the lessons that I learned in my book, A Heart Ready to Fly! When pride is in your heart it is like a stinky peacock lives int here……………..nasty. That happens to me when I get thoughts in my head that say things like: “Hey Sophia, you’re so much better than so-and-so.”
“You’re so much smarter than Luke.”
“Or you’re so much sweeter than so-and-so.”
When that happens, I’ve just got to admit these bad thoughts to God and He will clean up the stinky peacock from my heart. The best part is when my heart comes out clean from the “heart wash.” To see what I mean, you’ve got to check out my book, A Heart Ready to Fly!

Have a joyful, unstinky heart!

Who can you trust?

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Hey Guys,
It’s me Sophia again. Who can we trust with our deep secrets? Things are getting kind of wierd at school. Some girls want to know important secrets about you so that they can blab them all over the school. For example, one girl keeps asking me who I have a crush on. The truth is I don’t have a crush on anyone yet. But my one friend told this girl who her crush was. Then “Little Miss Blabber Mouth,” who said that the secret was safe with her, blabbed it all over the school. THis reminds me of a chapter in A Heart Ready to Fly! We need to be careful who we trust. Someone may seem trustworthy but be careful………………..if a “blabber mouth” lives in the person’s heart, your secret is not safe.

Check out lessons like this one in the first Giggleheart Adventure …………….A Heart Ready to Fly! In this book, about my life, you and parents and even grandparents will learn cool things about what is in people’s hearts is so important.

Bye for now. I’ve got to run.

What our hearts say!

Tuesday, November 3rd, 2009

Hey it’s me again, Sophia (the 8 1/2 yr old Giggleheart),

Chapter 2 in A Heart Ready to Fly! talks about how God cares more about what our hearts say than what we look at on the outside. That also goes for what words we speak. Have you ever kown anyone who says nice words but you know they don’t mean it? Well God knows what is in a persons heart better than we do ourselves………..wow, I better let God’s Word examine my heart so that it doesn’t start to stink with bad things.

I’ve got to go for now.

“Sour Faces?!”

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Hey everyone,
It’s me Sophia Rose again.
Chapter 1 in A Heart Ready to Fly! you will read, “Be full of joy in the Lord always. I will say it again, be full of joy.” (Phili 4:4). Mom say’s that means that God doesn’t want our hearts to be all grumpy and “sour” (like when you taste a lemon). Instead He wants our hearts all giggly and jiggly.
Have a giggly today world!

Giggleheart Joy!

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Hi guys,
Let me tell you what Miss Jackie wrote on her Facebook wall today:

Jackie Chirco Cogswell GIGGLEHEART MESSAGE For Today:
For Christians, as long as we focus on God, experiencing God’s Joy is a choice! Like when we face a elevator door, we can choose the UP button (the way of Joy) or the DOWN button(the grumpy way of bad attitudes). L…et’s choose the Up button today.
Peace and Holy Spirited Joy, ~Jackie

Isn’t that intersting? Why do you think it so hard to get rid of the grumpiness or fear you get in your heart sometimes? Well…………………read a Heart Ready to Fly! to see how the Lord can fix any of our attitude problems. For some of us, we need our attitudes to get fixed every single day.
Anyhow, I have a chocolate chip cookie on my brain. I’ve got to claim it before my brothers do.
See ya,
Sophia Rose Giggleheart (8yr old star of A Heart Ready to Fly!)

About Joy!

Monday, October 19th, 2009

Hi Everyone!
It’s me Sophia, the 8 1/2 year old Joyful Chick (as Mom calls me). Mom says that I need to share the Giggleheart Messages from the book with Miss Jackie for this blog. Ok so here it goes………..A Heart Ready to Fly! is about God’s giggly-hearted joy can be ours if we just admit the bad things we do to God, confess them and then He’ll do the rest. He can clean up the stinkiness in our hearts! Isn’t that great news. My heart still gets crabby and stinky at times, but thank GOD that He can clean me up again.
I’ll let you know more next time. I have to hurry up and get started on my homework.

Giggles to you and your family,
Sophia Rose Giggleheart (aka-Joyful Chick!)

Our Prayers Worked!

Friday, October 16th, 2009

Hey Guys,
It’s me again. I couldn’t wait to tell you about that bully girl that was being mean to me at lunch the other day. I know you remember the story. Well, last night Mom made me pray with her for “my bully.” I have to admit, it is hard to pray for people who are mean to you. In the Bible Jesus tells us to pray for our enemies. Well………….guess what? OK……………..I’ll tell you. Today, the girl didn’t bother me. In fact, she didn’t even give me a mean look. Wow, that prayer really worked. How cool is that?
I’m getting sleepy, so good night for now.
Remember kids (of all ages), say your prayers and pray for “your bullies.”

Bullies!

Friday, October 16th, 2009

It’s me Sophia again.
I’m kind of upset. Yesturday a 5th grade girl was being mean to me at lunch. She told me the other day that she had a “crush” on Bobby; a boy in my class. She asked me if I had a “crush”on him too. I told her no. But I don’t think she believes me. Bobby is a nice kid but I don’t have any “crushed!” What is up with that. Yesturday, this girl got in my face and warned me, ” You better not tell Bobby my secret of else.” Then she showed me her fist.
That girl has a ginormous heart problem. Her heart stinks and needs to be cleaned. In the meantime, I’m kind of scared. Mom told me to pray for her mean and angry heart. That was hard to do. But Mom held my hand last night as we prayed for that “great big meanie.” We’ll have to see what happens at lunch today.
Bye for now.

Weekend at Grandma Giggleheart’s!

Monday, October 12th, 2009

Hey Everyone,
It’s me Sophia again. This past weekend was awesome. Not only was it a four day weekend (no school on Thurs. or Fri.) but Luke, D.J. and I got spoiled at Grandma Gigglehearts house. We got to sleep in late, go to bed late and eat lots of chocolate. What more could kids want. My heart was giggling because me and my brothers got along so well while at Grandma’s. Whenever my brothers and I fight, my heart gets all grumpy and mad (not giggly at all……..pout). But thank God, when we do the forgiveness and the “I’m sorry” thing, He cleans my heart and my heart giggles again with His JOY……………it is so cool.

We’ll I’ve got to go now.
Bye, Bye everyone………………Have a giggly day.
Sophia Rose Giggleheart =)
